About Salvaged Seams
Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, traveling the world, moving to the West Coast, and now to the foot hills of Colorado, designer Beth Fuge has been inspired to create things that work with the environment and help to sustain the beauty we are surrounded by each and every day. Beth studied sustainable design, and jumped into a small company in Portland, Oregon that taught her the beginnings of sustainable fashion that could be made down the street from where she lived. After working through an internship, and being offered a production managerial position, Beth turned away opportunities to follow personal dreams, and Salvaged Seams was created.
Salvaged Seams uses vintage materials, and eco-friendly fabrics to create one of a kind designs. Each piece is cut out, sewn, dyed, and completed here in Fort Collins. Most items are one of a kind as they are created from vintage slips, dresses, shirts, or any material that has inspired Beth to upcycle and create something new. Aside from vintage materials, Beth uses sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, hemp blends, recycled materials, soy blends, and bamboo to create comfortable fashions.
Blending vintage with modern materials allows Salvaged Seams to offer unique clothing that is also made locally and sustainably!
